Looking Ahead to an Exciting Year Together

Dear Chapter Members,

Happy New Year! As we step into the year ahead, I want to share how excited and honored I am to serve as your Eastern Piedmont Chapter President. It is truly a privilege to represent such a passionate, skilled, and dedicated group of emergency nurses, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve in this role.

This year brings tremendous opportunity for growth, connection, advocacy, and continued excellence in emergency nursing. Our Chapter has a strong foundation, and I am excited to build on it together through meaningful education, engagement, and support for one another, both at the bedside and beyond.

I am especially looking forward to collaborating with our board, committee members, and all of you to create experiences that add real value, strengthen our professional community, and keep us energized about the work we do. Your voices, ideas, and involvement are what make this Chapter thrive, and I encourage you to stay engaged and share what matters most to you.

I also hope you will join us for our first quarterly Chapter meeting of 2026 on February 10th. Contact hours are pending for our educational offering, during which Elizabeth Goodman and Crystal Anderson will be presenting on Sexual Assault Considerations for Adult Survivors. This is an important and timely topic that reflects our commitment to trauma-informed care and advocacy in emergency nursing.

Thank you for everything you do every day for your patients, your teams, and the profession. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together this year and look forward to connecting with many of you at our upcoming meeting.
