Volunteer Opportunities

Hello Eastern Piedmont! 

Happy Nurses Week!!! I hope you were spared in the recent severe weather that we had yesterday. I heard there were several tornado warnings in our area. Our prayers are with those who received storm damage. Our quarterly chapter meeting is this Tuesday at Firebirds Grill in Winston Salem. We still have seats left so sign up and come join us. 

We have two volunteer injury prevention opportunities for you to give back to your community. May 14th there will be a bike rodeo in the Ardmore community of Winston Salem. This is a fun chance to spend time with kids and teach safe pedestrian habits.  As a volunteer you will help direct kids through a bicycle obstacle course and help fit them for new helmets. 

Another volunteer opportunity happens on May 19th from 6:30-8pm and is a Stop the Bleed class. Volunteers are needed to help man the skills stations.
